While speaking at the Diamond Jubilee celebration of IHM Pusa, New Delhi, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER called the tourism sector ‘golden gun’ for the economy, emphasising the role of the sector in revenue and employment generation. Marking 60 remarkable years of the iconic institution in hospitality education, the event was also graced by the presence of Shri Arvind Singh (IAS, Secretary Tourism, Government of India), Padma Shri Chef Sanjeev Kapoor (Celebrity Chef), Shri K.B Kachru (Chairman Emeritus & Principal Advisor South Asia Region at the Radisson Hotel Group), Shri Puneet Chhatwal (Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Indian Hotels Company Limited) and various other dignitaries. A book ‘IHM PUSA @60 – Essence of Hospitality and Life Skills’, curated by its notable alumni, was also unveiled on the occasion.
