Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management celebrated its 29th Regency Annual Awards Ceremony

 

One of South India’s premier colleges, Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management celebrated its 29th Regency Annual Awards Ceremony on 25th July amidst great fanfare at FTCCI Auditorium, Red Hills. General Manager of Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Vice President HRATS Mr. Rubin Cherian was the Chief Guest & Chef Dharmender Lamba (President of Telangana Chefs Association, Hotel Manager of Trident) Guest of Honor was invited on the occasion. A magnificent function comprising of breathtaking Welcome dance of students and prestigious Awards culminated the twenty ninth anniversary of the college. Chairman UMM-UL-QURA educational association,  Regency college of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management and Managing Partner – New Astoria restaurant, board member – Sultan – Ul-loom education society Md FAHTE KHALEQ & Secretary of Regency College Md Fathe Illyas graced the dais.

The event began with a Welcome note by Ms. Uma Bala (Head of Department) and proceeded to official felicitation ceremony of Chief Guest and other Dignitaries. Principal P.Ramesh Kumar Reddy presented Annual Report of college activities held throughout the year. In his speech he thanked the management for their great support. He briefed about the various developments which were going on in the college and also highlighted the latest additions in the college.

Mr. Rubin Charian urged students to develop Patience and Perseverance as that is the yard stick to define oneself as a Professional. He prophesized that the future is Bright for young Hoteliers and stressed on 3 attributes to be imbibed Attitude, Knowledge & Grooming for the business counts with grooming.

This year Regency College came up with Regency Leadership Awards, which were categorized into

  • The most prestigious Life time Achievement Award
  • Grand regent for Hotel Managers and Area Directors
  • Elite Regent for Departmental Heads
  • Star Regent for Outstanding performance of Alumni of Regency to the industry

SPOTLIGHT OF THE EVENT:

Regency always recognizes the eminent personalities for their contribution in development of the hospitality industry and nurturing young minds and always stood a torch bearer for coming generations. Regency took it as a responsibility in motivating the industry professionals by awarding the most prestigious award life time achievement.

The prestigious Life Time Achievement Award for the year 2022-23 was honored to K.A. MADHAVA who has more than 30 years of industry experience. He was recognized for his exceptional work, dedication, legacy to influence future generations, unwavering commitment to excellent innovation & sustainability towards the profession. and emphasized students to foster a Positive work environment, adaptability, focus on sustainability and to make a significant impact on the future of the hospitality industry.

GRAND REGENT:  Grand Regent is to celebrate their achievements, acknowledge their impact and encourage continued excellence in the hospitality industry.

Satyam (Director of Talent & Culture, Novotel Hyderabad, Airport) & Mr. Srinivas Indukuri (Director of Human Resource for Taj Krishna & Taj Deccan), Chef Arun (Executive Chef at Ibis, Hyderabad) awarded.

Star Regent: Star Regent being a part of Regency’s rich history.

Chef K. Venkatatewar Rao (Executive Chef – Golkonda), Chef P. Ramakrishna (Chef de Cuisine @ Encalm , Hyderabad) and Mhd Shoheb (Managing Director of Shadab hotel) were awarded.

In his address Mohd Fathe khaleq Chairman Nizam Group of Institutions congratulated the college for organizing such a wonderful Annual Awards function and assured all his help for the further development of the college in the form of infrastructural and academic excellence. He also heaped praises on students for promoting College to different zones of the country by bringing recognition in the form of achievements. Later Annual Souvenir ‘ECHO’ encompassing twenty nine years of journey of the college was released by the dignitaries on the stage amidst roaring applause and jubilation. Later the meritorious students including those who have excelled in the National and intercity competitions were felicitated by presenting medals and certificates.

The curtains on the yearlong twenty ninth Awards Day celebrations came down by felicitating the Staff members with Mementoes. Head of Department of Food Production proposed Vote of Thanks.

Mr. P. Ramesh Kumar overwhelmed that Regency Annual Awards Ceremony is to recognize, motivate and encourage the legends of hospitality industry, alumni and the present students of Regency. He also thanked the faculty for nurturing and constant training, implementing innovative strategies, and setting new benchmarks for its competitors of PAN India Hotel Management Colleges.

The alumni passing out from this college are holding topnotch positions as General Managers, Executive best Chefs, and HOD’s with International Brands of Hotels.
