Rahul Joshi, Hotel Manager, Intercontinental Marine Drive

Rohit Joshi has recently been appointed Hotel Manager at the InterContinental Hotel Mumbai. Having been with the company for two years, Rohit has functioned earlier as Director F&B at InterContinental and has always been one of the hotels greatest strengths. As Hotel Manger he will now handle a larger portfolio of duties. Besides functioning as the hotel’s primary strategist he will be responsible for its financial performance and ensure delivery of return on investment. With his F&B experience he will ensure that all the food outlets at the Intercontinental continue to increases guest footfalls by continually upgrading the standards of their cuisine and bar.

As Hotel Manager he will plan, organise and direct all hotel services including the front office and housekeeping. Hence Rohit also intends to take on the additional responsibility of overseeing the human resource department emphasizes that “the strength of a hotel lies in the quality of its staff. It is service that defines a hotel and at InterContinental we believe in ensuring that our trained staff extends the finest service to our guests.”

His excellent people skills will be invaluable in handling staff issues and guest relations. Having worked closely with guests as Director F&B Rohit has his finger on the pulse of guest preferences. This knowledge will come handy in helping him boost occupancy and make sure that the InterContinental rooms meet and exceed guest expectations.
The hotel has been recently renovated and with the tightening up of services, new marketing straggles and state-of the art facilities and amenities Rohit aims at positioning the InterContinental Marine Drive as “the first choice for both foreign tourists and Indian travelers and corporate guests.”
