American hospitality firm Marriot has announced the opening of hotels in Rishikesh and Amritsar. Arun Kumar, Market VP – North India, Nepal and Bhutan, Marriot said that they are opening two new hotels – Westin in Rishikesh and Le Meridian in Amritsar this year. “We are aiming to open in end of Nov and Dec respectively,” Kumar said.
Marriott operates 128 hotels in India. In 2022-23, Marriott is aiming to launch 20 properties in India. In the next two years, Marriott will open hotels in Goa, Trichy, Trivandrum, Vadodara, Rishikesh, Amritsar, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.
