Mumbai sees occupancy growth of over 80%: HVS

Indian hotel occupancy surged in early 2024 compared to the same period last year, according to HVS Anarock. Mumbai led the way with over 80 per cent occupancy, boosted by MICE business and events like Dua Lipa’s concert. Pune saw the largest growth (12 to 14 percentage points) thanks to the India International Travel Mart 2024. Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Chandigarh also reported double-digit occupancy increases, signaling a strong recovery for India’s hospitality sector.
