HVS ANAROCK’s recent Hotels & Hospitality Overview shares stats on the India average across the hotel sector, occupancy, RevPAR change in key markets & hotel signings in October 2020. The onset of the festive season brought about some much-needed cheer to the sector, with significant improvement in Occupancy across most major markets. It also reveals that Chandigarh and Goa topped the charts with over 40 per cent occupancy during the month of October, driven by the demand from wedding events and leisure travellers respectively. Meanwhile, Bengaluru and Pune continue to witness low occupancy due to limited corporate travel, especially by the IT-ITES sector.
