Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum launches its Rajasthan Chapter

Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) officially launched its Rajasthan Chapter. HPMF is the first professional association of hospitality industry spreading wings beyond India and going international. It has 12 chapters within India and two international chapters – Middle East and Srilanka respectively. It’s been over 8 years since HPMF launched its first chapter in Mumbai on 26th November 2010. The membership base has increased from initial 3 to over 2600 members across India, Middle East and Srilanka. The response from the local Rajasthan Hospitality members was extremely overwhelming and a gathering of over 45 hospitality professionals from Jaipur and neighboring cities attended the launch function.
Nitin Nagrale, Founder & General Secretary took the audience through the journey of HPMF. He made a presentation on HPMF and explained the objectives and vision of HPMF. Highlighting the importance of purchasing managers, who are more a background artist, Nagrale said, “Purchasing is an integral part of any organization and forming a forum like HPMF was more of need than desire. The Forum aims in bringing the world closer by networking and collaborating.”
Adding to Nagrale, Mr Sanjay Goyal; Vice Chairman HPMF said, our “Network is our Net worth and every Purchase Manager must consider that as the biggest tool for success.” Mr Goyal also talked about 4 pillars of HPMF and talked about the global roadmap.
The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Giriraj Singh ji Lotwara, President Shri Rajput Sabha, Jaipur. Mr Lotwara has been associated with HPMF for last 4 years. In his speech he emphasized on the role of HPMF in the life of hospitality procurement professional and the impact of the effective procurement professional in the hospitality industry. He also talked about opening of school of hospitality procurement in Rajasthan in coordination with HPMF.
The need for HPMF is in bringing together the purchase heads of hotels on one platform to network; explore new ways of working and knowledge sharing from technology and innovation standpoint. “We are excited to launch the HPMF Rajasthan Chapter in Jaipur,” said Mr Sanjay Chaturvedi of Hilton Jaipur; who is crowned as President of HPMF Rajasthan Chapter, thanking the audience for being part of the successful launch of chapter.
Mr Naresh Saini of Alila Hotel Jaipur has been appointed as General Secretary of the chapter. Soon the council members will be announced so that top fraternity professionals from Rajasthan will take forward the vision of HPMF to all possible members. Before the Annual Convention at Cochin; HPMF intends to launch several international and domestic chapters.
Mr Mohan Deshpande, Chairman HPMF was thrilled on the overall turn out of the hospitality professionals at the sparkling Hilton Jaipur.
