Hotel Association of India (HAI) meets the Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism & Culture, headed by Shri T.G. Venkatesh, M.P., Rajya Sabha to discuss ‘Distress in Tourism and Hospitality Sectors due to COVID-19 pandemic.’ The delegation of HAI was led by its President Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, MD & C.E.O, The Indian Hotels Company Limited. Considering the Indian tourism & hospitality sector a key pillar of the national economy and its critical role in the post pandemic economic revival, the association deeply appreciated the opportunity to apprise the august committee of the grim situation of the hospitality sector while also sharing suggestions to save livelihoods and jobs of industry workforce with the committee members.
