Goa’s average daily rate went up by 20–30%

Goa outpaced most of the Indian cities and registered average daily rate increase of 20–30 per cent of hotel rooms in September, a report by HVS Anarock revealed.

The report stated “Cities such as Kolkata and Bengaluru struggled in average daily rates and registered at least 10 per cent less as compared to   New Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune and others”

Mumbai and New Delhi witnessed the occupancy rate of 75 per cent in September and grabbed the top spots. The report also noted that in September, average daily rate of hotel rooms increased, hovering at ₹5900–₹6100.

The main driving factors were relocation business, small meetings, staycation and visiting friends and relatives, corporate travel which contributed mainly to the increase of average daily rate.
