Gaurav Singh is the Multi Property Vice President East India & Bangladesh and General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata. Holding this pivotal designation entails him to oversee operational activities and be in charge of all the nine hotels under his region. Enhancing productivity, ensuring guest satisfaction and strategic initiatives are some of his key responsibility areas. In addition to the JW Marriott Kolkata, the other hotels in East India that he oversees are The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri and Fairfield by Marriott Rajarhat. In Bangladesh, the properties under his supervision are the Westin Dhaka, Le Meridian Dhaka, Four Points by Sheraton Dhaka, the Sheraton Dhaka and the Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan.
Using his vast experience spanning almost two decades and strong managerial skills, Gaurav brings to the table a huge repertoire of knowledge and experience in the dynamics of hotel management, administration and operations. His dynamism, passion for the industry and leadership qualities have contributed to exceptional results across the wide array of properties he has worked in. He has been hugely instrumental in JW Marriott Kolkata going from strength to strength in the last three and a half years – some of his notable achievements include bringing home the first Eastern chapter of Shaadi by Marriott in 2018, re-launching of the happening nightclub Gold and pegging Vintage Asia as a luxury fine-dining restaurant which has captured the attention of the oriental food connoisseurs. His contribution towards the F&B spaces at JW Marriott Kolkata is commendable. Under his guidance JW Kitchen and Vintage Asia has not only ventured into different food promotions but have also gained recognition through various industry and food awards by receiving one of the best all day dining and the luxury fine dining in the city

He has been recognized as the General Manager of the Year by Hotelier India in 2016 and by Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India (FHRAI) in 2017. Marriott International Inc. holds global awards that recognizes and honors the achievements of the best team members, strongest managers and top performing hotels across the globe under which he has won four awards, including the coveted Global General Manager of the Year and Diamond Circle in April 2018.
He joined the Marriott family in the year 2013 when he took over Courtyard Ahmedabad in the designation of General Manager. Prior to him moving to the JW Marriott Kolkata, he enjoyed the position of Multi-Property General Manager of Courtyard Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. He was also a part of the pre-opening team and credited with the launch and positioning of Marriott’s first joint venture in South Asia between the Courtyard and Fairfield brands.
Outside the workplace, the social and fun-loving Gaurav is a passionate golfer and has emerged as a winner in several tournaments. This avid traveler is also a wine and cigar enthusiast.
