The Hotel Association of India (HAI) is exploring the possibility of requesting government incentives to help small hotel operators adopt sustainability practices. The association noted that while luxury and five-star hotels are at the forefront of implementing these measures, smaller establishments face challenges due to financial constraints. To address this, HAI is collaborating with international partners to identify and adopt the most effective global practices, while also examining sustainability initiatives implemented by other governments. The association is engaging with smaller hotel operators to understand their challenges and intends to present these concerns to the government, seeking support for sustainable initiatives.
