The Kerala government has introduced the ‘Swachhata Green Leaf Rating’ programme covering hotels, resorts, lodges, homestays, and eateries, with the objective of maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at prominent tourist spots. This initiative, launched collaboratively by the Suchitwa Mission and the tourism department within the state, aligns with the initiative of the Union Ministries of Jal Shakti and Tourism.
