The G20 events have contributed to quickening the pace of recovery for hotels, especially in the locations where the G20 events are being organized, said K B Kachru, Vice President, Hotel Association of India. “Hotels are seeing better occupancies and average daily rates. In some locations, the occupancies and revenues have attained pre-COVID levels and surpassed them in others. The G20 Presidency has also served as a unique and public platform for Indian hotels to send a strong and reassuring message that after COVID they are ready and equipped with unmatched excellence in services, to host global travellers with additional protocols of safety and hygiene in place,” pointed out Kachru.
