Amadeus Travel Dreams Report says 63 per cent of the travellers surveyed say they would pay extra for hotel features. Among the most popular add-ons were a specific view, premium entertainment packages like an Xbox, and local attractions. Any one of these features add around 12 per cent to room booking revenues.
The report also said that leisure travellers crave personal touch from hotels. Some 48 per cent of leisure guests are decisive about their preference for a traditional check-in desk, with a person to talk them through the hotel amenities. For a repeat visit, 50 per cent of leisure guests said they would like the hotel to know them better, interact with them ‘person-to-person’ and be welcomed individually when they get there.
