FHRAI launches a scholarship program for students interested in pursuing a 3-year B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from the FHRAI Institute of Hospitality Management (FHRAI-IHM), Greater Noida. Children of employees of its direct members as well as member establishments will be awarded a 50 per cent waiver in tuition fees on merit and first-cum-first basis. The aim is to offer students an opportunity to pursue world-class education and to increase availability of quality manpower for the industry by facilitating affordable education. “Today, the industry faces a dual challenge with eroding the number of candidates pursuing hospitality education and a higher attrition rate in employment. One of FHRAI’s stated objectives is to run institutes to provide education and training, both formal and job oriented, in the field of hospitality management, technology and professional education to meet the requirement of India’s hospitality, tourism and allied industries,” states Mr Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Vice President, FHRAI.
FHRAI-IHM is the first and only private institution run by an Industry Association that is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
