Sarovar crosses 150 milestone with new signings

Sarovar Hotels has sprinted past the 150-property mark, dropping fresh keys in Jaipur and Mathura. This aggressive expansion targets North India’s red-hot wedding and pilgrimage belts. The Golden Tulip Kukas Jaipur adds 90 rooms to the Amber Fort corridor, featuring a massive 600-capacity hall built for high-stakes destination weddings. Simultaneously, the 70-room Skywings Sarovar Portico marks the group’s debut in Mathura’s high-traffic Krishna spiritual circuit.

Ajay Bakaya, Chairman, is betting big on these “high-potential” hubs where religious tourism and MICE demand are currently peaking. With 87 destinations now locked in, Sarovar is colonising regional territories before rivals can move. It is a calculated, fast-paced land grab aimed at India’s most lucrative, recession-proof leisure corridors. By bridging the gap between Jaipur’s luxury “Golden Triangle” and the religious fervour of Uttar Pradesh, the group is ensuring a steady pipeline of year-round domestic travellers and high-spending corporate events.
