Planet Hotels and Resorts announces its entry into Goa’s ultra-luxury segment with the unveiling of Kings Mansion, a new hospitality project scheduled to open in early 2026, strengthening the group’s expansion strategy across key Indian leisure destinations.
Planet Hotels and Resorts confirms the development of Kings Mansion, an ultra-luxury property coming up on the grounds of the former Kingfisher Villa in North Goa. The resort is planned with 48 ultra-luxury rooms and is positioned as a high-end hospitality offering combining contemporary elegance with immersive resort and spa experiences.
Anand Chatterjee, Executive Director, Planet Hotels and Resorts, says:
“Kings Mansion represents a thoughtful new expression of luxury, focused on personalised experiences that leave a lasting impression.”
Design-led resort and wellness focus
The upcoming property features a range of curated leisure and lifestyle facilities, including a pool, bar lounge, beach deck, gym, salon and a dedicated wellness sanctuary, Ojas Sva. The project focuses on exotic design, intuitive service and immersive dining experiences, while reimagining the legacy of the iconic location.
Claude Pinto, General Manager, adds: “Our vision is to create a stay that feels intuitive, immersive, and unmistakably luxurious, while honouring the legacy of this iconic location.”
Part of wider expansion plan
Kings Mansion forms part of Planet Hotels and Resorts’ broader growth trajectory. Established in 2013 with the launch of Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, Goa, the group expanded with Planet Hollywood Thane City in 2022 and a Manali hotel under the Beatle branding in 2025.
The group also confirms upcoming projects in Tirupati, Udaipur and Hyderabad, scheduled for 2026, as it continues to build its presence across key Indian markets.
