Mumbai, New Delhi sustain occupancy demand at 77–81%

According to HVS Anarock, India’s key hotel markets continued to register healthy ARR growth in April. Mumbai and New Delhi maintained their lead, commanding the highest room rates in the country, while also recording the strongest occupancy levels in the 77–81% range. Ahmedabad recorded the strongest year-on-year occupancy growth (10-12 pp) among key Indian hotel markets in April 2026, driven by sustained commercial activity and event-led demand.

ARR and RevPAR declined sequentially due to the typical post-financial-year slowdown in corporate travel and MICE activity. Despite this, performance remained ahead of last year, supported by resilient domestic demand and sustained traction across key commercial markets.
