Mayfair brings regional luxury dining to India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper 

Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Guwahati has partnered with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation to cater India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper on the Howrah–Kamakhya route, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Introducing a luxury hospitality brand onboard, Mayfair will serve curated Bengali and Assamese vegetarian cuisine using local ingredients. Ratan Sharma, MD, Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Guwahati said the focus is on “creating a sense of place and an immersive experience through food,” making dining a highlight of overnight rail travel.
