JK Mohanty, CMD, Swosti Group, has said that the government last year announced to give LTC amount to people for buying goods and pay GST, the government would help them. “However, I would suggest that LTC should be spent on travel, flying tickets and hotels, if LTC is tax-free up to Rs. 50,000. This would make a lot of people start moving and travel & tourism can start to pick up. This is one of the suggestions, which can be given to the government,” he added.
